Ethiopia Premier League: Kedus Giorgis extends lead with a 3-2 victory over Dedebit

Addis Ababa – Week 17 of the Ethiopian Premier League (EPL) saw defending champions Kedus Giorgis (St. George) extend their lead with a 3-2 victory over their nearest and city rival Dedebit FC here today.

The two teams went to their dressing rooms with Giorgis leading 2-0 at half-time thanks to goals from national team striker Salhadin Said (15) and Mentesenot Adane (31′).

Salhadin gave Giorgis a much-needed cushion with his second goal just five minutes after the start of the second half.

Dedebit fought back to score two goals. The first came from EPL leading scorer Getaneh Kebede (71′) and the second was an own goal by Abebaw Butako (72′).
