EEPCO defeats Ethiopian Coffee 1-0
Addis Ababa, Ethiopia– EEPCO defeated Ethiopian Coffee 1-0 in the lone Ethiopia Premier League match played here yesterday.
This is the second loss in a week for the defending champions, who were beaten 3-0 by arch rival St. George on Tuesday.
The victory moves EEPCO in 3rd place (36pts), with only goal difference separating it with second-placed Dedebit FC on goal difference.
After 18 matches, Ethiopian Coffee has won 5, drew 5 and lost 8. While the team’s offensive line ranks 3rd in the league with 27 goals scored, its biggest problem has been its defensive one, which conceded 32 goals – the most by any Ethiopia Premier League team.
