Gezahegn Eshetu of Ethiopia wins Vancouver Marathon
Vancouver, Canada – Gezahgn Eshetu of Ethiopia won the BMO Vancouver Marathon today.
The 28-year-old crossed the line in two hours, 21 minutes, 54 seconds.
Defending champion Bernard Onsare of Kenya was second, 30 seconds back.
Ellie Greenwood, originally from Scotland but now living in North Vancouver, was the top woman in todays Marathon.
Her time of 2:42:18 put her nearly four minutes ahead of Nigerian-born Californian Mary Akor.
